Fiji Resorts
Beqa Lagoon Resort is located on Beqa Island, across the large Beqa Lagoon. Beqa Island is secluded tropical oasis with no roads or towns, just a few small villages. The resort offers 25 different types of bungalows: twelve beachfront bungalows each with its own plunge pool, six garden bungalows around a koi pod, three very private bungalows in the outer gardens and four family bungalows with two bedrooms each. All bungalows have private bathrooms and verandas or patio areas. The resort grounds are a haven of lush gardens with blooming flowers, the beach a beachcomber’s dream. This is a great place to escape from it all.
Beqa Lagoon offers spectacular coral diving on the large barrier reef. Other activities include snorkeling, swimming or kayaking in the warm waters of the blue lagoon. Hike to waterfalls, relax in a hammock, lounge by the large infinity pool or enjoy a soothing aromatherapy massage in the privacy of your own bungalow. For more excitement, join the weekly shark dive trip where you can see up to eight species of sharks, or take an afternoon off from diving and go deep sea fishing. For surfers, the world-class Frigate Pass offers year-around thrilling waves.
Moody’s Namena Resort is a private island eco-resort surrounded by one of Fiji’s most pristine diving and snorkeling on the Namena Barrier Reef. The island rises dramatically from the Koro Sea and offers hiking trails in verdant tropical forest, powder-soft white sand beaches and total seclusion from the world. There are only six cottages spaced well apart to provide the ultimate in privacy. The cottages are built from native woods, bamboo and cane to blend with the environment. Each cottage is situated on a ridge to offer spectacular views over the ocean and to provide cooling breezes. All are equipped with king-size beds, private bathrooms, gas-powered lighting and hot water as well as solar-powered bedside reading lamps and fans.
During your stay in this paradise enjoy scuba diving, snorkeling, nature hikes, bird watching, fishing, kayaking and much more. Divers are delighted with the abundance of coral and critters on the reef which is out of limits for fishing and anchoring. Namena Reef is known as one of the best dive areas throughout the Fijian Archipelago. Snorkelers can see giant clams, turtles and rays in colorful coral gardens just off the beach. Kayak from beach to beach around the island and enjoy a picnic lunch on the way. Hiking up to the Dragon’s Head, the island’s highest point, is another highlight. Here you can find an ancient ruin of the migratory Lapita people who passed through some 2,000 years ago. The island’s nature reserve is a treasure with a red-footed booby nesting colony and a flying fox camp.
