Indonesia Liveaboards
Arenui is a new top-notch 140-foot boutique liveaboard with all the comforts and service you can expect from a luxury vessel. There are eight cabins onboard for a maximum of 16 guests. Each cabin is slightly different and tastefully furnished with handicrafts from each of the Indonesian provinces. All cabins are exceptionally large and have private bathrooms, individually controlled air-conditioning, small refrigerators and safety boxes. Two master cabins on the upper deck have large windows with sea views, king-size beds and sofas that turn into single beds if necessary. Two upper deck twin cabins are also equipped with large windows for views and two twin beds each. On the lower deck you will find three double cabins with king-size beds and sofas that also serve as single beds, and one twin cabin with two twin beds. The lower deck cabins each have three portholes.
Arenui’s extraordinary meals are served a-la-carte and feature fresh local ingredients transformed to gourmet delicacies by internationally trained chefs – and the wine selection is impressive! Common areas onboard were carefully designed to create intimate yet roomy atmosphere. A full range of massage and spa treatments are offered by the spa, and there is a computer with an internet connection, and a great selection of books and movies for your entertainment. Divers will enjoy a large dive deck, individual charging stations and photo editing computers. Diving is done from two dinghies. Arenui offers Nitrox.
The brand-new luxurious Damai is taking Indonesian diving to a completely another level with creature comforts and flexibility. Damai is a 108-foot liveaboard built specifically for diving Indonesia’s waters and equipped with the latest navigation, communication and safety equipment. There are only four cabins onboard for a maximum of eight guests. All the cabins are incredibly large and offer either a king-size bed or two queen-size beds, private bathrooms, individual air-conditioning and much more. The multiple spacious common areas include outdoor and indoor spaces, all tastefully decorated and comfortable.

Tambora is a new custom-built 138-foot liveaboard offering the best in luxurious comfort and top-notch safety in Indonesian waters. The wooden Phinisi is not only beautiful but also beautifully accommodates even the most demanding diver. Constructed of local sustainable hardwoods by traditional boat builders on the island of Sulawesi, it combines the charm of wooden interior with state-of-the-art technology and functionality. There are eight double and twin cabins onboard for a maximum number of sixteen guests. All cabins are equipped with a private bathroom, individually controlled air-conditioning, two to four portholes for light and fresh breezes, plenty of storage, a desk, and 220V outlets. Four cabins have a double bed, and four two lower twin beds.
Common areas include a large salon with a flat screen television and surround sound, internet access and satellite telephone. There are three separate outdoor decks; the large partially covered lounge deck is perfect for sunning and great views. Delicious meals onboard draw inspiration from local Indonesian fare complemented with international favorites. Tambora’s dive station separates wet and dry functions. The wet area has personal gear storage and large rinsing tanks, the dry section is a safe area to open your photo equipment and charge batteries. The large dive platform is used for both diving and boarding the two dinghies, as well as a snorkeling and swimming entrance. Nitrox and a full range of rental gear are available. Tambora’s 8- to 14-night cruises vary by season and take in Raja Ampat, Banda Sea, Borneo and Komodo.
Adelaar
The luxurious Adelaar is a 127-foot schooner departing from Bali and sailing around Komodo Archipelagoo on 10-night trips. Completely renovated, the ship now features only four spacious cabins with all the amenities. The atmosphere is lavish; you are surrounded with rich wood paneling and high ceilings, and enjoy friendly but impeccable service. The master stateroom has a double bed, sofa and desk, bathroom with double sinks and a separate toilet, and plenty of closets. Two other staterooms have the same amenities but are slightly smaller and feature one sink in the bathroom. The remaining stateroom is does not have a sofa. All the cabins have individually controlled air-conditioning, marble bathrooms, flat screen televisions and top-of-the-line linens.
Adelaar’s main salon is a cozy spot to relax below deck. The salon has a bar and a library. The dining salon is located on the upper level with panoramic views of the vivid landscape, and serves fine cuisine that merges local Indonesian delicacies with international influence. There is plenty of outdoor room, both covered and in the sun. Two dinghies onboard take you to dive spots and visits to the islands.
Sea Safari VII is 123-foot wooden phinisi with lots of comfort, space and style. It was built for diving Indonesia’s archipelago. Gorgeous paneled interior, large cabins, and carefully selected comfortable indoor and outdoor furniture will please the most discerning traveler. There are thirteen cabins onboard for a maximum of twenty guests. All cabins have private bathrooms, individually controlled air-conditioning and televisions. The four middle deck double cabins have large double beds and are light and airy with big windows, plenty of storage and space to move around. Lower deck has six single cabins - no single supplement! - and three cabins with two lower twin beds. These cabins have portholes.
Sea Safari VII’s common areas were designed to give you many options for relaxing and socializing. The large dining room has big windows bringing in the sunshine and views. The indoor lounge has a full entertainment system, and covered outdoor living room is an excellent place for sundowners. The dive deck has individually kitting stations for all onboard, and diving is done from two dive tenders. Nitrox is available. Sea Safari VII offers scheduled diving cruises to Raja Ampat and other top Indonesian destinations.
Cheng Ho
Cheng Ho is a first-class dive liveaboard with plenty of space and comfort on three decks. All the 13 cabins onboard have private bathrooms, individual air-conditioning and wireless internet access. Maximum of 20 divers are accommodated in seven double/twin cabins and six single cabins.
Onboard you will find a lounge, a boutique and a library area as well as a separate little movie theather with wide selection of DVDs and music. Spa and massage service is available for extra pampering. Laptop power points and camera battery stations feature both 220 and 110 volts. Dive deck features individual tank stations with lockers, shower and camera workstation. Cheng Ho offers Nitrox and has three separate dive tenders.
Siren
Explore the islands onboard the luxury liveaboard Siren which was custom-built to suit the most discerning diver. There eight large individually air-conditioned cabins with entertainment systems and ensuite bathrooms. Bath robes, hair dryers and mood lighting add additional touches of comfort. Massage spa, laundry, boutique, plenty of deck space, spacious saloon with large flatscreen and bar, covered outdoor dining area, and superiorly functioning dive deck are all part of the experience. Onboard you will also find waterskis, waterboards, kayaks and fishing tackle.
The Siren was fitted with special features for the underwater photographer and videographer. Each cabin has an individual computer with a high-definition flatscreen and multiple power sources and there are dedicated workstations for cameras. The Siren offers free Nitrox.
Paradise Dancer
The 188-foot Paradise Dancer is the latest addition to the Dancer Fleet. Built to accommodate divers in comfort and style, the boat is exceptionally large with thoughtful details. There are four staterooms with side-by-side single beds and private bathrooms. The master suite is a work of art with a king-size bed, a separate lounge area and a private bathroom. The boat is fully air-conditioned.
The spacious common areas feature a dining room, a lounge and a huge deck area. All throughout the vessel you will find beautiful hardwood fitting for a three-masted motor schooner.
Paradise Dancer has two 28-foot fiberglass tenders and offers Nitrox. Itineraries include North Sulawesi from April to July and Raja Ampat from September to March.
Komodo Dancer
Komodo Dancer is a 124-foot two-masted wooden motor sailor accommodating maximum of 16 divers in style and comfort. 10-night itineraries alternate between Bali to Komodo or Komodo to Bali. The eight cabins onboard feature two large staterooms with two lower twin beds, two cabins with a lower queen-size bed and upper single and four twin cabins with two bunks. All cabins feature individual air-conditioning, private bathrooms, bathrobes and hairdryers.
All diving is done from two 22-foot fiberglass tenders. Komodo Dancer offers Nitrox.
Pindito is a beautiful and roomy vessel built for diving in Indonesia. Onboard you will find eight cabins for a maximum of 16 guests. Two of the cabins have a lower twin and an upper bunk, six of them have a lower double bed with an optional upper bunk. All cabins feature individually controlled air-conditioning, port holes, private bathrooms and plenty of storage space. The lounge area has comfortable seating, a computer for working with your photos and video, entertainment center with a big screen television and a small library.
Pindito offers a variety of interesting cruises in Indonesian waters including Komodo, Banda Sea, Sulawesi, Raja Ampat, Northwest Sulawesi and the new frontier of Halmahera. Cruise lenghts vary depending on the itinerary. All diving onboard is done from three zodiacs and the crew will take care of all your diving gear. Pindito offers Nitrox and has a certified massage therapist onboard for some pampering between dives.
Ondina is a 105-foot motor sailer exploring Indonesian best diving areas year around. The vessel was built to be comfortable, quiet and stable with lots of room for all onboard. There are eight cabins onboard for a maximum of sixteen guests. All cabins have individually controlled air-conditioning, private bathrooms, portholes that open for fresh air, and plenty of storage space. Six of the cabins have a large lower double and an upper single, two just a lower double. Onboard you will find both open-air and air-conditioned dining rooms, hammocks on deck, and even a hand shower on the sun deck if you happen to get too hot. Common areas also include a library, a full entertainment system, and a self-service bar with snacks and drinks available at all times.
The generously proportioned dive galley has dedicated equipment bays for each diver, individual charging stations, large photo equipment rinse tanks and tables, and fresh water showers.
Ondina’s regular cruises are scheduled to Raja Ampat and Komodo but each year the liveaboard does a few exploratory expeditions to other locations around the archipelago. Ondina offers Nitrox and has a massage service onboard.
Archipelago Adventurer II is a newly constructed 115-foot wooden phinisi. This luxurious vessel has plenty of space on its three decks. Artfully fusing together a wooden construction with modern touches, living onboard is all about comfort and ease of diving. There are total of ten cabins for a maximum of twenty divers. The main deck has six cabins, two with two twin beds, one with a double bed, and three with a double and a single bed. The upper deck’s four cabins have two twin beds each, and uninterrupted ocean views. All cabins have private bathrooms, air-conditioning, and writing desks. Air-conditioned dining area with views over the ocean offer delectable meals and hosts a bar. Open air rear deck is partially covered and has cushy seating. The sun deck has loungers and panoramic views.
There are two spacious dive decks, both with sturdy ladders leading down to the dive tenders. Dedicated fresh water rinse tanks for cameras, hot fresh-water showers and individual storage areas can be found on both dive decks. Itineraries vary between 7- and 14-nights, and take in Raja Ampat, Banda Sea and Komodo in different seasons. The Archipelago Adventurer II offers Nitrox.
Pelagian is a 115-foot luxury liveaboard now affiliated with Wakatobi Resort. Pelagian’s five cabins for a maximum of ten divers are all spacious and comfortable. The master cabin is currently under renovation but when finished, it will be one of the largest cabins onboard any liveaboard. It will feature a king-size bed, a separate lounge area with a loveseat, and a rainforest shower. The two superlux cabins were just redone and now feature a walk around queen-size bed, ample storage, and several portholes. The deluxe cabin has a double and a single bed, built-in drawers and a small loveseat. The standard cabin has two single beds, one with an elevated platform for views from the portholes. All cabins have newly remodeled bathrooms and individually controlled air-conditioning. Outdoor decks, multiple lounges and dining spaces allow you to choose the level of social interaction onboard.
Pelagian has 7- and 10-night itineraries taking in the Wakatobi Archipelago with its pristine coral reefs and rarely seen muck diving sites. All cruises start and end at Wakatobi, making it easy to combine the resort with the liveaboard. Pelagian offers Nitrox.
Ocean Rover is a 100-foot liveaboard purpose-built for diving. There are eight cabins, all located on the main and upper decks, for a maximum of sixteen divers. Six of the cabins have lower double beds with single upper berths and panoramic views. The two remaining cabins have lower and upper single beds. All cabins have private bathrooms, individually controlled air-conditioning, hairdryers, toiletries and plenty of storage space. The large salon has comfortable dining and seating, an entertainment center with a flat-screen television, and camera charging area with both 110 and 220 volt electricity. The partially shaded sun deck, equipped with a refreshment center, is a favorite area for relaxing.
Ocean Rover’s unique dive deck design slopes down to the waterline making it easy to exit and enter the water. There are several camera tables, multiple rinse tanks, fresh-water showers, and a camera maintenance room. Itineraries vary between 7 and 14 nights, and dive Raja Ampat from September to December, and North Sulawesi from January to August. Ocean Rover offers Nitrox and a massage service for some pampering between dives.
The 79-foot Mandarin Siren will start diving Indonesia’s Raja Ampat and Sulawesi in June 2010. This luxurious sailing yacht is the latest addition to the Siren fleet and has only four cabins for a maximum of eight guests. All cabins have private bathrooms, and can be configured with either a double bed or two twin beds. Creature comforts and special extras in all cabins include individually controlled air-conditioning, personal computers, entertainment systems, bathrobes, hair dryers and mood lighting.
A spacious dining area serves delicious meals, and the relaxing salon is the place to have a drink from the bar and watch a movie on the large-screen television. The leisure deck area has both covered and sunny areas and plenty of comfortable seating, and there is even an outdoor dining area for al-fresco dinners. The whole vessel is designed to offer you plenty of space and comfort – this is also evident on the dive deck which was modeled after the larger sister ships. There’s ample room to set up your equipment, large rinse tanks and dedicated camera areas. The two dive zodiacs are easily accessed from the dive platform. The 105-foot Shakti knows Raja Ampat better than most; it was one of the first boats there and has been permanently based in the area since 2002. Over the years exploring the region, its itineraries today offer you the best of the pristine reefs, incredible underwater formations and even fantastic macro sites. There are six cabins onboard, all with individually controlled air-conditioning and 24-hour electricity. Two above deck cabins have a double bed, and four below deck cabins a double and an upper single. The cabins share three full bathrooms and one deck shower. This intimate vessel is informal, friendly and great for serious divers!
Shakti’s lounge has a bar, projector for movies, individual charging stations and three camera tables. Hearty meals and freshly baked cookies and cakes keep your energy up for the five dives per day. The dive deck is furnished with individual dive stations, Nitrox is available. Two tenders whisk divers to dive sites.
