Oriental Siren

Oriental SirenOriental Siren is a 112-foot purpose-built dive boat designed to offer comfort and luxury for all divers. It is a twin-masted junk built in Thailand in 2008 from the finest teak and ironwood twin, and has two sails which are both functional and beautiful. There are seven cabins for a maximum of 14 guests although on special charters there’s plenty of room to host up to 16 divers.

All cabins have private bathrooms, personal computers, entertainment systems and little luxuries such as bathrobes, mood lighting, individual air-conditioning controls and hairdryers. The master cabin has a double bed, and the rest either twin or double. Common areas include a large cocktail bar with a 42-inch flat screen television, massage spa, laundry service, and a boutique. The dive deck is equipped with designated charging and preparation areas for camera and video equipment. Also onboard are two zodiacs, kayaks, waterskis and wakeboarding equipment. Nitrox is free for all Nitrox certified divers. Oriental Siren moves seasonally and has itineraries in Thailand, India’s Andaman Sea, Malaysia and the tiny nation of Timor-Leste.

Mermaid I

Mermaid IMermaid I is a 94-foot motor yacht with many luxurious touches. It accommodates a maximum of fifteen divers in eight cabins. The master cabin has a king-size bed, the four deluxe cabins have a double or two twin beds, and the two budget cabins below deck have a double or two twin beds. There’s also a single cabin on the main deck. The main deck cabins have windows with panoramic sea views. All cabins are equipped with private bathrooms, refrigerators, televisions with DVD players, bathrobes, toiletries and air-conditioning. Thai and international style meals are served in the dining room which has large windows for views. After meals, relax in the salon that has an entertainment center, or one of the two partially covered outdoor areas furnished with comfortable sunbeds and loungers.

The large dive deck has four camera rinse tanks and a camera table, and a wide stern dive platform with two exit ladders and fresh-water showers. From November to April the boat departs from Phuket for 9-night trips towards Burma’s Mergui Archipelago with some dives also at Similan and Surin Islands. From June to October the boat moves to Indonesia for 9-night Komodo itineraries departing from Bali. Mermaid I offers Nitrox.

Mermaid II

Mermaid IIMermaid II is a 105-foot motor yacht known for its onboard comfort and ease of diving. There are nine cabins for a maximum of eighteen divers. The eight deluxe cabins are located on the main deck have panoramic sea view windows and private bathrooms. Two budget cabins on the lower deck share a jack-and-jill bathroom. All cabins are air-conditioned. The dining room serves delicious buffet meals with Thai and international flavors. The large salon has comfortable seating, big windows for views, and an entertainment center. Two outside decks give you plenty of space to hang out. The shade covered party deck has lounge chair, and the sun deck has both covered and sunny areas.

Mermaid II’s huge dive deck has individual boxes for dive gear, a camera table, and rinse tanks. The wide stern dive platform has two exit ladders and fresh-water showers. There are two dinghies for transfers and shore excursions. From November to May, the boat is in Thailand and trips include 7-night Andaman Safari, 4-night Similan Islands & Richelieu Rock and 3-night Hin Daeng, Koh Haa and Phi Phi itineraries. From June to October, it moves to Indonesia for 7-night Komodo trips departing from Bali. Mermaid II offers Nitrox.
