It is no wonder that Galapagos remains one of the most
captivating dive destinations in the world. The sheer abundance of marine life
is astonishing – schools of eagle and golden rays numbering up to a hundred
individuals, thousands of dolphins and schooling hammerheads. Commonly seen on
the dives are sea lions, turtles, Galapagos sharks and whitetip sharks. Whale
sharks, although rare, are often sighted in these waters. Combined with
fantastic diving, Galapagos Islands also offer fascinating hikes and great
snorkeling with penguins and sea lion pups. Dedicated dive departures include
the remote Wolf and Darwin Islands.
Deep Blue is one of the newest yachts in Galapagos. The roomy and
comfortable vessel has nine double cabins with ensuite bathrooms and
air-conditioning. The beautifully furnished cabins are spacious and
have plenty of storage space. Common areas include a salon with
panoramic views over the sea, a dining area and a sundeck.
Meals onboard are furnished by Deep Blue's own organic farm which grows fruits, vegetables and livestock. Fresh fish and seafood is sustainable and purchased locally. The dive deck is large and well-functioning and there are two zodiacs onboard. For underwater photographers there are two camera tables, a large rinse tank and two showers with hot water. You are treated to hot drinks, warm towels and snacks after each dive.
