TamboraTambora is a new custom-built 138-foot liveaboard offering the best in luxurious comfort and top-notch safety in Indonesian waters. The wooden Phinisi is not only beautiful but also beautifully accommodates even the most demanding diver. Constructed of local sustainable hardwoods by traditional boat builders on the island of Sulawesi, it combines the charm of wooden interior with state-of-the-art technology and functionality. There are eight double and twin cabins for a maximum number of sixteen guests. All cabins are equipped with a private bathroom, individually controlled air-conditioning, two to four portholes for light and fresh breezes, plenty of storage, a desk, and 220V outlets. Four cabins have a double bed, and four two lower twin beds.


TamboraCommon areas include a large salon with a flat screen television and surround sound, internet access and satellite telephone. There are three separate outdoor decks; the large partially covered lounge deck is perfect for sunning and great views. The delicious meals draw inspiration from local Indonesian fare complemented with international favorites. Tambora’s dive station separates wet and dry functions. The wet area has personal gear storage and large rinsing tanks, the dry section is a safe area to open your photo equipment and charge batteries. The large dive platform is used for both diving and boarding the two dinghies, as well as a snorkeling and swimming entrance. Nitrox and a full range of rental gear are available. Tambora’s 5- to 14-night cruises vary by season and take in Raja Ampat, Banda Sea, Makassar Strait and Komodo.
